Course Overview

Our bodies hold the key to moving beyond our pain and trauma, not by analyzing it, but by stepping into the joy and presence that awakens something greater in us. When we embody that aliveness, we don’t just change ourselves, we invite the people around us into a new way of being.

What’s really limiting your ability to go deeper with others?

Is it a lack of tools—or something unhealed inside yourself?

This is your invitation to come home to your body.

To awaken the life force within you.

To remember the way you were always meant to move, breathe, and belong.

What if you could meet those you serve in the present moment—fully?

What if your own body became a source of refuge, a living space of authenticity that invites others to do the same?

Somatic Sensual Intelligence is a transformative training that integrates movement, somatic psychology, and nervous system physiology to support helping professionals—therapists, case managers, healthcare workers, educators, and space-holders—in reconnecting with the innate wisdom of their bodies.

This course is not just about learning new tools. It’s about becoming the tool. It’s about reclaiming your body as your most powerful instrument of healing, presence, and truth.

Why Movement Matters

In many mind-body trainings, movement is the missing piece. While somatic psychology has made great strides in cultivating awareness and sensitivity to the body, it often emphasizes passive sensation over active, conscious movement—the very thing that brings healing to life.

Movement is not just an intervention—it’s a language. It is how we express, release, and rewire our minds and bodies. It’s how we access joy, choice, and agency. And it’s how we become more fully ourselves.

At the same time, many movement disciplines—such as yoga, dance, and fitness—have been stripped of their psychological depth. The emotional, relational, and nervous system intelligence that underlies movement has often been left out, leaving practitioners with powerful tools but little understanding of why they work or how to apply them in trauma-informed, therapeutic contexts.

Somatic Sensual Intelligence bridges this divide.

It brings psychology back into movement, and movement back into psychology.

What Makes This Training Different

Most trainings focus on what to do for others.
Somatic Sensual Intelligence starts with you.

This course invites you into your own body—not as a machine to be fixed, but as a living, breathing source of wisdom. You’ll explore movement as a way to:

  • Repattern your nervous system for greater regulation and resilience

  • Reclaim your authentic voice and vitality

  • Deepen your capacity to hold space with presence and power

  • Awaken the life force that animates your work

You’ll learn not to just think about healing—but to live it, move it, and embody it.

Somatic Psychology & Nervous System Physiology

Somatic Sensual Intelligence is grounded in the science of movement, somatic psychology and nervous system physiology. You’ll gain a clear understanding of:

  • How trauma and stress are stored and expressed in the body

  • The role of the autonomic nervous system in healing and regulation

  • Polyvagal theory and its application in movement and relational dynamics

  • How movement supports neuroplasticity, emotional integration, and embodied safety

This knowledge will be woven directly into movement practices, so you can feel and apply it in real time. You’ll learn to track your own nervous system, recognize patterns in others, and use movement to support regulation, connection, and transformation in yourself and those you support.

The Wound Beneath The Work

We truly can’t take others deeper than we’ve gone with ourselves.

Most other trainings emphasize doing more—adding techniques, building caseloads, learning more tools.

But what if transformation doesn’t start with doing more...
What if it starts with becoming more fully you?

Many of us are drawn to this work not only by compassion, but by something more tender:  a personal history, a wound, a longing to heal what once felt unholdable.

We become helpers, teachers, space-makers, holders of bodies and their stories—often without realizing we’ve never truly been held ourselves.

Over time, that unacknowledged wound begins to shape how we show up.

We brace. We grow weary. We disconnect from our own aliveness—even as we try to keep others connected to theirs.

To remain open-hearted in this work, we must learn to stay open in ourselves.

To offer safety, we must know it in our own nervous system.

To model freedom, we must feel it in our breath, our movement, our being.

Somatic Sensual Intelligence begins hereat the intersections of somatic psychology and movement; of service and self.

Not as a new set of tools to use on others—but as a sacred space to meet yourself with renewed depth.

The 10 Principles of BraveSpace

BraveSpace is not just a concept, it is a living practice that guides this journey. These 10 principles serve as touchstones, helping us cultivate embodied presence, relational integrity, and the freedom to fully express ourselves:

1. Practice Somatic Research by noticing the sensations, emotions, and movements that arise.

2. De-shame your body and life, witnessing both light and shadow without judgment.

3. Allow Trans-formation, shifting patterns that no longer serve your joy and purpose.

4. Flow through Improvisation, cultivating presence in the unknown.

5. Choose Response-ability, attuning to yourself while honoring others.

6. Move from Heart-centeredness, connecting with something greater than the individual self.

7. Strengthen Tensegrity, expanding your capacity to hold paradox and dynamic tension.

8. Embrace Risk, stepping into the full arc of your life’s unfolding.

9. Follow Eros, engaging pleasure, vitality, and longing as sacred guides.

10. Play in Interbeing, recognizing yourself as both an individual and part of the collective dance of life.
